The first step is to decide which bales you need.
With all the variety of sizes, the bales can be square and round in shape:
- Small-sized square bales can weigh from 15 to 45 kg.
They are compact, easy to stack in limited capacity. So small square bales are the most efficient option for small farmers.
On the other hand, it should be recognized that square bales are somewhat uncomfortable. - Round bales may well weigh from 300 kg to 1 ton.
It is generally accepted that such bales can reduce labor costs both for baling itself and for feeding animals, because you have to deal with a smaller quantity of them.
However, handling such bales is more time consuming. When transporting them to a sheltered place for storage, you can't get along without a tractor with a loader.
And then the choice is yours.
